TJ Dillashaw, Henry Cejudo to compete for the new UFC Legacy Championship Belt.

UFC President Dana White has today revealed an all-new UFC Legacy Championship Belt that will be on the line when bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw and flyweight champ Henry Cejudo square off at the first ever UFC on EPSN+ event this Saturday, January 19 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

According to UFC, the UFC Legacy Championship Belt "will subsequently recognize title defenses and new championship wins in 2019 and beyond." The UFC Legacy Championship Belt is uniquely customized for each individual champion by the athlete’s country, weight class and number of title defenses.

Per UFC:

"Starting in 2019, fighters who win UFC championship bouts will be awarded a UFC Legacy Championship Belt, which will be used during the duration of their professional MMA career. Subsequent championship wins in their respective division will be represented by red stones on the side plates of the belt. Additionally, athletes who win titles across multiple weight classes will be awarded one belt per division."

Both Dillashaw and Cejudo, whose flyweight title will be on the line this Saturday, made weight at Friday morning's weigh-in making the champion vs champion fight official.

Cejudo (13-2) won the UFC's flyweight belt in August after upsetting longtime division champion Demetrious Johnson. Dillashaw (16-3) has won eight of his last nine fights, including consecutive victories against former bantamweight champ, Cody Garbrandt.
