The Minnesota Viking lost their last game of the NFL regular season against the Chicago Bears which ultimately removed the team from playoff contention. It was quarterback Kirk Cousins first year with the squad and had high expectations on him considering he signed a three-year $84 million deal with the Vikings. His inability to lead the team to a playoff spot sparked tons of criticism, although some of his teammates are rushing to his defense.
TMZ Sports caught up with Minnesota wide receiver Laquon Treadwell and asked him about the team's QB. Treadwell addressed the haters and explained that people should be more aware of how good Cousins really is. He even answered to those who think Cousins wasn't worth the price tag.
"That's a lie, man," Treadwell explained. "He a baller. "It's the first year. We was a little rusty, but we're going to bounce back. You know? We was learning each other. Chemistry."
Treadwell also gave his opinion on the Super Bowl, saying he hopes the Los Angeles Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs make it to the big game, which would be a rematch of their 54-51 offensive explosion earlier in the season. The Rams ended up winning that game.
The Rams play the Saints in the NFC Championship game on Sunday, while the Chiefs take on the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship match.
