The NBA All-Star Weekend 2014 goes down later this month in New Orleans. Every year the weekend sees the biggest and brightest rappers and ballers come out, whether it be to perform or simply to party. Last year there were events put on by Diddy and Rick Ross, among others, while Alicia Keys headlined the half-time performance.
This year Pharrell has been tapped as the headliner for the Entertainment Series presented by Sean John at Macy's. The artist will perform during the player introductions, and he's reported to have some surprise guests in store.
The NBA All-Star Game (which takes place on Sunday, February 16th) half-time show will see a mash-up performance from Earth, Wind & Fire, Janelle Monae, Dr. John, Gary Clark Jr. and New Orleans native Trombone Shorty with his band Orleans Avenue.
Kendrick Lamar will also be performing during the weekend, on Saturday, February 15th, prior to the Sprite Slam Dunk event.
Both the American national anthem and the Canadian national anthem will be performed at the game by Gary Clark Jr. and Serena Ryder.
The Sprite Pregame Concert is expected to announce their performers soon. The concert, which happens before the All-Star Game, will be aired live on TNT at 8:00 pm ET.
