Just a few months after announcing their pregnancy, Lil Xan and his fiancée Annie Smith have revealed that Smith suffered a miscarriage. It was in a series of video posts and photos on Instagram that Smith penned an open letter to the couple's unborn child.
"The moment i met you i knew you were special," she wrote in an Instagram caption. "i fell head over heels in love with you and only love you more and more every single day. i didn’t know it was possible to feel this way about another human. starting a family with you has been the most magical, beautiful blessing God has given me. today i feel a hurt i never knew existed. a pain that comes from my soul. [...] i wish you could’ve known how truly blessed you were to have a daddy like diego. we love you little angel."
Smith goes on to detail the joy of being a mother-to-be and the pain with dealing with losing a child. Just a few days prior to Smith's post, Xan seemingly addressed the topic on his Instagram Stories, penning a message that read, "Hey guys I'm really not feeling well today," he said. "I'm sorry if I'm M.I.A. for the next few days, I just need to get my mind right. I love you guys to death."
Shortly after announcing their pregnancy, Smith and Xan came under fire with Internet users accusing them of faking the pregnancy, with someone pulling up a sonogram from a Google search and matching it to Smith's.
When I posted my YouTube video with my ultrasound pictures, a girl (i'm not going to comment on who) photoshopped them with another person's name, year, birthday etc, and uploaded them to Google," Xan's fiancée told E! News at the time. "I really am just staying off the internet for the time being because it's really sad for me to see these things."
