There have been several twists and turns in Tekashi 6ix9ine's federal case for racketeering and firearms charges. Earlier this week, it was revealed there was a confidential informant in the rapper's crew recording interactions with 6ix9ine and the people around him. A recent report alleged DJ Akademiks, a close friend of 6ix9ine, of being the snitch. However, the internet blogger complete denies these allegations.
Akademiks spoke to TMZ following reports that he was the informant inside of 6ix9ine's crew. Ak denied any involvement in the case and said that he "has zero connection to this criminal case against Daniel Hernandez & other co-defendants. I view them as good people to me."
"All these charges are a shock to me and do not involve me. I have never been questioned or much less cooperated in this. I am just a news reporter," he continued.
Interestingly enough, the reports that surfaced claimed that it was 6ix9ine's ex-manager Shotti's attorney who made the claim that Akademiks was the snitch. However, Shotti's lawyer, Scott Leemon, also denied ever making these statements.
"I never made any public statement relating to this matter. Any statement attributed to me is false. I have not given anyone an interview about this case," Leemon said.
Despite the confidential informant, Tekashi 6ix9ine's attorney said that it was concerning, but he believes it'll prove the rainbow-haired rapper's innocence.
