Dave Bautista's booming career as a Hollywood regular already includes acting credits in blockbusters such as Avengers: Endgame and Guardians of the Galaxy to name but a few. He's successfully made the transition while keeping one foot in the door with his former employers the WWE over a potential feud with his former Evolution pit boss Triple H.
As per Variety, Dave Bautista will be adding Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead to his resume in the not so distant future. Both Snyder and Shay Hatten are writing the screenplay for the presumed Zombie flick. Bautista role within the cast hasn't been disclosed, but it's safe to assume he'll be playing a "tough guy" of some kind come deadline day.
Snyder's directorial credits include movies such as Justice League, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Man of Steel, and now Army of the Dead, the spiritual successor to his landmark debut Dawn of the Dead. 15 years ago, Dawn of the Dead played a big part in eliciting a revival of sorts in the Zombie flick subgenre.
The remake of George A. Romero’s 1978 classic film has aged accordingly. While Bautista awaits the finalization of the Army of the Dead screenplay he will be kept busy by two Television gigs he's taken on in the interim: a Fox comedy titled Stuber, and STX's My Spy. Bautista is a lesser example of what The Rock has accomplished with a combination of charisma, a fierce look. and a modicum of acting skills, the latter of which is improving with each passing day.
