The Kingpin fights for "Daredevil"

Netflix's decision to purge all of their Marvel shows was met with angered cries and confused head scratching. Shows like Daredevil and The Punisher, which were scrapped towards the end of the purge, were wildly popular. Since the moment Daredevil got the ax, fans began petitioning for its return. The fans couldn't care less whether that return came from Netflix or another streaming service. Their petitions seemed to have fallen on deaf ears, but one Daredevil star is fighting alongside the scorned fans.

Kingpin actor Vincent D'Onofrio has been hashtagging #SaveDaredevil all over his social media pages, and he recently spoke with ComicBook.com about the show's future. He began by touching on his relationship with the fans. "I deal with them a lot on Twitter and they know how I feel about their loyalty, and I'm really appreciative of their loyalty," D'Onofrio stated. "I've always used their excitement to motivate me to try and do the best job I can playing Fisk, and I hope to do it again."

"You know, I hope that Marvel comes up with some kind of venue to do it again," he continued. "But, their loyalty and their excitement has been helpful to me to be able to do the character, and now it's just ... You know, I'm humbled by it. These people are just, they're enthusiastic and I think it's great." Will this be one of those instances where the fans' demands are met by the studios? We hope so.
