Ariana Grande has been mourning the loss of Mac Miller along with his loved ones and fans worldwide. While struggling with her emotions in relation to his death, Grande's relationship with Pete Davidson deteriorated and the couple called off their engagement. During this rough time, the Sweetener singer took some time off from her public duties to process recent events and heal from them in private. The return of the songstress to the stage has aired last night and people are blown away.

After having canceled a few public appearances, including gigs, fans were worried about their icon's first performance since the life-altering moments mentioned above. Ariana Grande made them all proud when she hit the stage and served her signature vocals for NBC's A Very Wicked Halloween special.

She might have gotten the strength from a long-lasting bond she formed with Kristin Chenoweth, a Broadway star who hosted the event. The actress recounted the first time they met.

"When she was nine, her mom brought her backstage to my dressing room, and this tiny little nugget says, 'I like to sing too,' and I thought, 'Aww that's sweet,' you know how many times I've heard that. And then she busted out in something and I was like, 'Oh, I think that might be a really good singer, actually.'"

"I gave her a little wand, which she still has, so this is a long relationship. So, for me, it's a full circle moment to watch her have this moment. Everybody else get their Kleenex ready, I am going to have to have snot rags, 'cause I am not going to be well. Like, I am not well already, when I think about it, look at me, my voice is shaking. I can't even think about it. I just saw her rehearse, she is going to kill it."
