Film director Steven Soderbergh has stepped back on the grid after his brief retirement and has come through with an anticipated watch set to debut on Netflix titled High Flying Club. The movie was impressively shot using an iPhone (model unknown) and is labeled as a sports drama that sees André Holland play an agent who has to come up with a plan during an NBA lockout.
"In the midst of a pro basketball lockout, sports agent Ray Burke finds himself caught in the face-off between the league and the players," the synopsis reads, via Uproxx. "His career is on the line, but Ray is playing for higher stakes. With only 72 hours to pull off a daring plan, he outmaneuvers all the power-players as he uncovers a loophole that could change the game forever. The outcome raises questions of who owns the game – and who ought to."
The film stars Zazie Beetz, Zachary Quinto, Kyle MacLachlan, Bill Duke, Caleb McLaughlin and is written by Oscar winner Tarell Alvin McCraney who penned 2016's Moonlight.
