The ASTROWORLD festival may be old news for those who were in attendance two weeks ago, but concert footage is just starting to filter out. The latest clip to make the rounds in HD quality highlights Sheck Wes madcap performance of his viral hit "Mo Bamba." I certainly don't envy the person who took the stage shortly thereafter. Sheck Wes' messianic performance was a hard act to follow, and predictably so.
Records show that at least 40,000 concert-goers were present when Sheck Wes took to the stage. Concert-goers really overshot their welcome by pulling out their phones with Sheck Wes looming overhead, a constant aerial threat. And yes, Wes risked it all, with a lateral "trust fall" at the 1:30 mark. The concert-goers, fresh from marking their attendance on social media, kept one hand tied behind the back, and the other firmly planted to ensure Sheck Wes' crowd-surfing sustenance.
This was but one of the many surveyable moments that went down at ASTROWORLD fest. The one-day event, taking place in Astroboy's hometown of Houston, Texas, was blessed with a full musical itinerary which included performances by Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Post Malone, Rae Sremmurd, and of course the Astroboy himself, Travis Scott.
