This probably won't come as a surprise, given Jay Z and Kanye West's close ties, however Roc Nation and DONDA have made it official, announcing a new partnership this morning.
On Roc Nation's website, it was announced that the creative house of DONDA is connecting with the Roc to manage all of DONDA's music endeavors. The partnership will focus on Kanye's recording label as well as his worldwide tours.
DONDA has been in the works for some time now, as Roc Nation details, the outline of the creative agency first popped up in 2009 when Yeezy collaborated with Louis Vuitton, however DONDA was officially off the ground in 2011 with the tour design and brand packaging for Jay and Kanye's "Watch The Throne" tour. DONDA continued to keep things inventive with the guerilla-style marketing campaign for Kanye's "New Slaves" single, as well, DONDA was behind the 7-Screen Sound Vision cinema experience for the "Cruel Summer" short film viewed at the Cannes Festival.
Since that time, we've seen DONDA as the creative force behind multiple album designs, including the packaging for 2 Chainz's Based On A T.R.U. Story to Kanye West's own album Yeezus, as well as Pusha T's My Name Is My Name.
We're excited to see what will result from the Roc Nation x DONDA partnership.
