Harrison initially wanted to hate Brady.

James Harrison spent the majority of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but eventually moved on and signed with the New England Patriots in 2017. In his first and only season with the team, he eventually made it to the Super Bowl and saw first hand the kind of leadership quarterback Tom Brady is able to provide.

Harrison went on the FS1 show Undisputed this past week where he spoke about Brady and the lead up to this weekend's AFC Championship game between the Patriots and the Chiefs. The former player explained how he initially wanted to hate Brady, but quickly learned that he is "the ultimate teammate."

“Believe me, I wanted to hate this dude with a passion,” Harrison explained. “I get there and I’m like, ‘Dude, he’s the ultimate teammate.'"

“I’m up there, and it was [during] the snowstorm they had. It was [a] crazy, crazy blizzard,” Harrison continued. “Cats are like, ‘Man, we really got to go outside?’ Tom goes, ‘Hey, stop complaining. Let’s go.’ He takes off out there with just the little sleeves and all that for practice, like it was nothing. Hey man, he’s the truth. I’m not going to lie.”

Brady has a chance to make it to his ninth Super Bowl when he takes on the Chiefs on Sunday.
