Kevin Hart's next project has passed GO!

It looks like Kevin Hart is in the process of turning one of the best board games into a live action movie, Deadline reports. The "Ride Along" actor and the director of the film, Tim Story, will reportedly be working together yet again for a live-action movie on the Hasbro game, Monopoly. The film will be produced through Kevin's HartBeat Productions label.

Although details on the movie are limited, the screenplay is said to be about a boy who is from the game’s Baltic Avenue on a mission to make a fortune. Hasbro has been plotting to make a film about the ionic game for a while now with The Truman Show's Andrew Niccol previously attached to the screenplay, but nothing came of it.

Kevin is just coming off a controversial start to the new year after he stepped down from hosting the upcoming Oscar Awards after his past homophobic tweets resurfaced. There was a brief moment where people thought he would take the gig back on, but Kevin cleared up the rumors.

"I am not hosting the Oscars this year... right now, from a time perspective, I don't have the time," he said. "I like to call myself a perfectionist. I would want to make sure the production is a great representation of me and my talent." He might consider hosting "in the future [...] but it's not the conversation of today."
