The popular anime comes to life.

Back in 2001, Cowboy Bebop was one of the only animes on Cartoon Network's Toonami. Along with Dragon Ball Z and Pokemon, Cowboy Bebop introduced millions of young Americans to anime. The series built a cult following since then, serving as the base to many anime fans' obsession with the genre. Now, Netflix will be bringing the anime to life.

The streaming giant announced that arrival of their live-action Cowboy Bebop series on Twitter. The series is based in the future, where a gateway in space was destroyed and ravaged the Earth along with it. Humans spread out to other planets and moons in the solar system, and space colonization leads to massive crime. Bounty hunters called cowboys are tasked with bringing in criminals and helping to restore safety to the spread out human race. Cowboy Bebop follows one crew of bounty hunters on a ship called Bebop. Jet Black, Spike Spiegel, Faye Valentine, Edward, and Ein make up the crew of the Bebop, and their story will be adapted for Netflix. There is no official release date or trailer, but speculative fans believe that the show will get a ten episode run. It looks like Netflix is about to score another win.
