Brie Larson's Captain Marvel just hit theatres nationwide and already the actress is securing her next acting moves. Reports say the 29-year-old actress is set to star as a CIA Agent in a series for Apple's upcoming TV service. The show's dubbed Life Undercover: Coming of Age in the CIA and will follow real-life memoirs.
Brie will be joining other superhero stars such as Chris Evans, Jason Momoa, and Joel Kinnaman who are also joining Apple for it's streaming content. Other known acts making shows and movies for Apple are Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston, David Hornsby and Charlie Day, J.J. Abrams of Lost and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad and even basketball player Kevin Durant.
Apple's streaming channel is set to launch April 2019.
Brie makes Marvel history as the lead in the first female-led film for Captain Marvel, and according to her, the milestone doesn't feel "any different" than taking part in another film.
"To be honest, I don’t want it to feel different. Kind of over the first female blah, blah, blah," she said. "And like, ‘Wow, maybe women can actually do the same things that dudes can do. Like, what a crazy concept!’ You know what I mean? I feel like the more we talk about it, the more we perpetuate the myth that it’s an impossible task. It’s like, no. If it wasn’t like that before it’s because it was wrong. That was just wrong. Now we’re just doing what’s natural."
