Running back Kareem Hunt was released by the Kansas City Chiefs back in November when footage of him pushing and kicking a woman in a Cleveland hotel lobby was released for public consumption. While the jury is still out on whether or not Hunt will be suspended by the NFL, the Cleveland Browns decided to give Hunt a second chance and signed him this past week. The signing was some big news considering the Browns finished last season with a 7-8-1 record and look as though they are on the rise thanks to the addition of Baker Mayfield and some other key elements. Tight end David Njoku feels the exact same way and spoke about how much the addition of Hunt helps the team.
"I'm really excited that he's here," Njoku told TMZ Sports. "I know he can definitely help our offense in years to come rather than just next year."
Njoku then spoke about his quarterback Mayfield and how much of a stud he's been out on the field.
"Baker coming to Cleveland is one of the greatest things that's ever happened to us. His mindset, his mentality ... he's the man!" Njoku explained. "We're very confident in each other ... and it's going to be a very fun year next year."
How do you think the Browns are going to do next year? Will they make the playoffs or are they in for another season of disappointment?
