The weeks leading up to Avengers: Endgame has already put fans through the ringer. Amidst ticket-sale shortages, cataclysmic Ant-Man butt-plug theories, and general hand-wringing as to who might live or day, it's a bittersweet time to be an Avengers fan. And yet, the hype has never been higher. With records expected to shatter and long-running MCU franchises likely to conclude, Endgame stands a chance at being one of the biggest films in cinematic history. Naturally, the runtime should be appropriately massive, as to not rush the various coalescing narratives, including that of the Mad Titan Thanos.
We've already heard reports that the film would be a little over three hours, thanks to AMC theatres dropping a little leak for the fanbase. Now, the runtime has been officially confirmed by the Russo Brothers, with the film clocking in at 3 hours and 58 seconds. The gargantuan runtime makes Endgame the longest MCU title, and twenty-minutes longer than Infinity War; while it's not quite close to Lord Of The Ring's sprawling Return Of The King, it's certainly in the ballpark. Suffice it to say, keep the pregame beverages to a minimum, lest nature call during the Snap 2.0.
Is it long enough, or is this one of the rare films you'd actually welcome an extended edition? Sound off below.
