According to Vogue, Rihanna is well on her way to founding her own luxury fashion house within the LVMH consortium. For those unfamiliar with LVMH or its business holdings, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE is a giant-sized coalition with an ownership stake in many if not most of the relevant designer brands Today - a list which includes Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Celine, Givenchy, and Dior, to name a few.
The LVMH family also houses brands that specialize in jewelry, perfume, cosmetics, and selective retailing. Rihanna's association with LVMH saw her FENTY BEAUTY line distributed in Sephora's the World over. Rihanna's transition from co-partnership to general autonomy was foreseen by many industry experts. Her new fashion house will reportedly focus on wearable goods and leather accessories. Rihanna's luxury brand would be the first undertaken by LVMH from start to finish, since Christian Lacroix debuted in 1987, the very year the consortium was established.
Rihanna has been teasing this project since the start of 2019. Before that, Rihanna trolled her fans by implying that she might abandon her "album plans" in 2019, leaving the Twitter massive in a cold sweat. Keep it peeled for an official statement from Rihanna or LVMH regarding their furtive plans. The Rihanna come up story is just beginning to unfold.
