Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo is already in the Christmas Spirit and showed Pacers fans on Sunday just how much he's willing to give this holiday season.
Renita Hill, a victim of domestic abuse who now works with the Julian Center, an Indianapolis organization that supports domestic violence survivors, was honored on the court by the Pacers during their match against the Washington Wizards. It was then that Oladipo surprised Hill by gifting her the Kia car he won for being the league's "Most Improved Player" during the 2017-2018 season.
Oladipo appeared in the car during a taped message where he called Hill "an inspiration to so many people." It was then that the Pacers mascot gave Hill the keys to the car, who was visibly excited about the gesture.
Sunday wasn't the first time Oladipo showed himself to be a charitable guy. According to ESPN, Oladipo won the NBA Cares Community Assist Award for December 2015. The Pacers star won the award for donating $35,000 to an organization that helps children with hearing loss. He also donated some money and a car to a single mother and her daughter so they could move out of a women's shelter in Orlando, Florida.
Oladipo and the Pacers are back on the court Wednesday when they take on the Atlanta Hawks in Atlanta.
