These were inspired by a sample of the LeBron 3.

LeBron James might be sitting on the bench for the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers season but that doesn't mean he's going to stop flexing on us with some dope sneakers. James has been seen with a plethora of new LeBron 16 colorways this season and they've all become their own little story. On Thursday night, James dawned a pair of "Glow In The Dark" LeBron 16's, which are inspired by a LeBron 3 sample from back in the day.

Based on the picture courtesy of @NBAKicks, you can see that the entire upper is dressed in black battleknit, while the outsole comes in green that lights up when it's dark. Unfortunately for us sneakerheads, basketball arenas are typically very well lit so we didn't get to see the glow in the dark features in action. Although, it did make us think about the possibility of these coming out sometime in the future, as unlikely as that may be.

For now, it's probably best to assume that this is a Player Exclusive (PE) that will never see the light of day. That way you can manage your expectations and not get hurt when these inevitably don't release to the public. For now though, drool away at what is proving to be one of the most interesting LeBron 16's we've seen so far.
