T.I. was supposed to follow up Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head with a second Trouble Man-themed album: He Who Wears The Crown. We learned recently that Pharrell had hopped on as an executive producer of the album, and with Pharrell, Tip seems to have a change of heart when it comes to Trouble Man: He Who Wears The Crown.
Since the two have been in the studio together, the album seems to be heading in a different direction than the King of the South anticipated. During a recent visit to MTV's RapFix Live, T.I. explained that the Trouble Man II title may be delayed.
"Since we started working on the project and the project started has taken a different shape, I think we're going to postpone that title," T.I. revealed. "We're gonna rework that. I got a couple of things in mind."
"All I'ma say is, it's gonna be a motion picture, it's gonna be a theatrical-worthy title. Something that will definitely seem instant classic," the Kang continued. "I'm thinking something like Trap Champion,Paperwork, but whatever it is the subtitle will be The Motion Picture."
This is not to say Trouble Man: He Who Wears The Crown has been scrapped entirely. "I still have that album, that album isn't lost, I have that project as well. But the music that we began to create-- Pharrell, myself--so many others that have contributed between the time of then and now that the project is just taking a new shape," he said.
Are you guys excited to hear what T.I. and Pharrell have been cooking up?
