James Harden looks as though he's having himself another MVP worthy season. He has gone 18 straight games with over 30 points and scored 57 points in a win on Monday night against the Memphis Grizzlies. Last night, Harden provided more of the same, scoring a season-high 58 points, although it was all for nothing as the Houston Rockets ultimately lost to the Brooklyn Nets in overtime by a score of 145-142.
"Frustrating," Harden said according to ESPN. "Very frustrating."
The Rockets blew a lead with 90 seconds remaining in regulation and did the exact same thing in overtime. The Nets, who are holding onto a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, were happy with the win especially considering how well Harden played.
"The man had 60 and we won," Nets player Spencer Dinwiddie said. "That's big time for a young group."
Dinwiddie had a huge game for the Nets. He scored three three-pointers in the final 30 seconds of regulation which is what allowed the Nets to force overtime.
The Nets now sit at a record of 23-23 and are ranked seventh in the Eastern Conference. Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets fell to 25-19 after the loss and sit in fifth place in the Western Conference.
