We recently heard Tech N9ne go crazy (and spit super fast) on Hopsin's "Rip Your Heart Out," which is just one of several collaborations the two rappers have done together. The same day "Rip Your Heart Out" dropped, we hit up DJ Skee's Skee Live show and got to talk to Tech about his music and who else he'd like to work with in the rap game.
Tech Ninna revealed a desire to work with the self-proclaimed "Rap God" and fellow lyrical rapper, Eminem.
"I'd like to work with Eminem. Just me and him on a song, 'cause I think he's one of the dopest rappers out there, and I wanna hear how I sound next to one of the dopest motherfuckers I've heard," Tech told our host Broady the Joker during the interview. "I've worked with some of his homies, Proof, Slaughterhouse, D12, all of 'em, he's the only one left. Even Yelawolf. I worked with all them motherfuckers, he's the only one left."
Tech went on to name Marsha Ambrosius as a singer he'd like to work with, and then added, "I'd like to get some beats from Kanye. I think he's fucking incredible when it comes to his ideas."
While the Kansas City rapper is undoubtedly known for his lyrical content, another trademark of Tech is his face paint. Tech explained the background to why he wears his face paint-- which he donned during our interview too.
"My homeboy Brian Dennis was the first to pain my face in 1994. Because I was afraid of clowns when I was younger so I became what I feared," he said. "And he got murdered, so in honor of him, I wear that shit. I wear my face paint, my war paint, that's my homie that died. He helped me put this Tech N9ne nut house shit together, and he ain't here to enjoy the fruits of his labor. I hear that motherfucker talkin' to me hwne I'm writing. Words that just pop into my head and I'm just like where'd that come from, I'm like, god damn Brian."
