Netflix is making moves to better the platform.

If you're already enthralled by everything Netflix has to offer, from its original content and throwback films, then you'll be even more pleased with the streaming platforms latest announcement. Netflix has announced that all viewers who stream content from television, will now be hearing their movies and shows with “high-quality audio."

The update will allow users the experience to hear “closer to what creators hear in the studio.” The updated audio will work best for televisions that support either 5.1 or Dolby Atmos.

“Today we’re excited to announce a new feature, high-quality audio, which takes our sound quality to another level. We gave it this straightforward name because it fits: high-quality audio delivers audio that sounds closer to what creators hear in the studio, so every little detail is captured for a richer, more intense experience," an official statement for Netflix reads.

"Additionally, if you have the bandwidth or device limitations, we’ve made the feature adaptive so that we will deliver the best possible audio to match your capabilities. This is similar to what we already do for video.”
