AB not headed to Buffalo after all.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills had reportedly discussed a trade for veteran wide receiver Antonio Brown, but the deal is now dead.

Last night, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the Steelers were "closing in" on a deal that would've sent AB to Buffalo. However, ESPN's Adam Schefter shot down the rumors, describing the proposed blockbuster trade as "unlikely."

Pittsburgh had told teams earlier this week that they were hoping to move Brown by Friday. The Bills were among the teams interested, but GM Brandon Beane says the deal "didn't make sense for either side."

"We inquired about Antonio Brown on Tuesday, and kept talks open with the Steelers," Bills general manager Brandon Beane said in a statement Friday. "We had positive discussions, but ultimately it didn't make sense for either side. As great a player as Antonio Brown is, we have moved on and our focus is on free agency."

According to ESPN, other teams that have expressed the strongest interest in trading for Brown are the Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Titans and Washington Redskins.
