Draong Ball Super: Broly may be the most anticipated film in all of Dragon Ball history. Creator Akira Toriyama finally decided to bring Broly into the main canon, and the latest film will rewrite some of the anime's lore in order to make room for the powerful character. Dragon Ball Super: Broly dropped in Japan this month, but it won't touch down in the US until January. The red carpet premiere for the film took place at the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles last week though, and footage from the event has been posted online.
Sean Schemmel and Chris Sabat, who play the American dub versions of Goku and Vegeta, respectively, were in attendance. A few heavy hitters in the anime and voice acting industry made cameos, but the important thing to take away from this is the level of marketing that Toei Animation is putting behind this film. They are making a major push to make Dragon Ball the dominant anime in the US, and their only real competition at the moment is Pokemon. Draong Ball Super: Broly touches down in the US on January 16, 2019. Check out the footage from the premiere, and the latest trailer, below.
