French Montana has had a successful run with his Mac & Cheese mixtape series, which have been some of his defining projects during his come-up. According to French, his recently announced Mac & Cheese 4 will bear a special honor, in that it will actually serve as the proper follow up to his debut album, Excuse My French.
"I'm going back to the essence on this album," Montana told Rolling Stone of his strange decision. "We're giving the fans that grew up on me what they want. When we made the other music, it was just to be a little different and not do the same thing over."
French also hinted at some work he was doing for Kanye West's upcoming project, though he was careful not to say too much. "We're supposed to be working on a couple of songs together for his album," he revealed. "He got a special project coming out."
No released date on Mac & Cheese 4 at this point, but Montana was confident he'd have the first single out within the next two months.
