Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid can expect to hear from the league office regarding his criticism of the referees following Tuesday night's 112-109 loss to the Kyrie Irving-less Boston Celtics.
Embiid didn't have much to say about the officiating during his post-game press conference, but he made his point loud and clear.
"The referees fucking suck."
Embiid finished with 23 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and two blocks in his 37 minutes of action.
His counterpart, Al Horford, posted 23 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals in 35 minutes
"He's not doing anything," Embiid said when asked about being guarded by Horford (H/T ESPN). "I was sleep-walking for three quarters, and that's on me.
"Like I said, that's on me. It had nothing to do with anybody."

According to ESPN, including Tuesday's victory, the Celtics are now 10-2 against the Sixers since the start of last season. That includes the Celtics' 4-1 series victory in the Eastern Conference semifinals last season and an unblemished 3-0 record against Philadelphia so far this season.
The two teams are now 36-21 for the season, tied for fourth place in the Eastern Conference. They'll meet for the fourth and final time of the regular season on March 20, in a game that will air on ESPN.
