The Redskins QB went down with a horrific injury last season.

The Washington Redskins were having a pretty good season last year until quarterback Alex Smith went down with a horrific injury were his lower leg snapped in two. He broke his tibia and fibula and we all grimaced in pain along with him when we saw just how bad the injury looked. No one knows exactly if Smith will ever be able to return to football, but Redskins president Bruce Allen is hopeful. TMZ Sports caught up with Allen and asked him about Smith's condition.

"Alex is getting better everyday and we're gonna keep our fingers crossed on how he's doing," Allen said. "We're going to listen to the doctors. Whatever the doctors tell us, that's what we'll do."

Allen was then asked about QB Kyler Murray and whether or not the Redskins would be willing to draft him as a potential replacement for Smith. The Redskins president was pretty coy in his response but does seem to be excited about the future of the franchise.

"I'm looking forward to meeting him at the combine along with 31 other teams," Allen explained. "We'll go with somebody, I promise you. We're gonna draft really good football players for the Redskins this year."

Who do you think the Redskins should go with in the first round of the draft?
