There has been a lot of speculation surrounding this year's NFL Draft and who will be taken with the first overall pick. That pick currently belongs to the Arizona Cardinals who had a league-worst record of 3-13 last season. One of the highly touted players in the draft is quarterback Kyler Murray, who just came off a Heisman Trophy-winning campaign. While the Cardinals already have a young quarterback, some believe they might take Murray with their first pick, although others aren't so convinced. One of the analysts who has been hyper-critical of Murray is Charley Casserly who said the young QB received "the worst comments [Casserly] ever got on a high-rated quarterback"
Murray's agent, Erik Burkhardt, clapped back at Casserly during an interview with Pro Football Talk and said that Casserly doesn't know what he's talking about.
"What do I think about an agenda-driven 'analyst' who's never once even talked to Kyler or any of his coaches or teammates?" Burkhardt asked. "I think it's disgusting and embarrassing and Casserly should be ashamed of himself."
Burkhardt added that based on what he's heard from team officials, Murray has made a positive impression at the combine.
"My business partners and I personally represent coaches and executives who sat in on eight of Kyler's 10 formal combine interviews," he said. "I spoke directly to each of them, as well as executives from the other two teams and many others who I don't represent but were present, and all of them were extremely positive about his entire interviews, with each citing specific examples as to why."
The NFL Draft will go down on April 25 and run through to the 27.
