Sports & politics have been intertwined for decades.

LeBron James took a critical comment that Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham made and turned it into profit. "This is what happens when you attempt to leave high school a year early to join the NBA. Keep the political commentary to yourself. Or as someone once said, shut up and dribble," she commented, sparking a fire of liberal versus conservative drama. James wasn't impressed with being told to shut up, and the athlete was even more insulted that Ingraham would question his intelligence. He decided to take the remark and turn it into a television series.

Shut Up And Dribble will be a three-part docuseries produced by James and Maverick Carter for Showtime. Directed by Gotham Chopra, the series will explore the relationship between sports and politics. A new trailer for the series has arrived, and it features historical snippets drawing from several decades of basketball. Snippets of Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors refusing to visit Donald Trump's White House open the trailer, and are then followed by scenes of players standing up to racial inequality. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legendary voice rings loud as the clips flash by. "Don't allow anybody to make you feel that you are nobody," King Jr. resoundingly states. Check out the trailer below and catch Shut Up And Dribble on Showtime starting November 3.
