James Mason may be released on bond.

James Mason is set to surrender to legal authorities after a warrant for his arrest was issued in relation to R. Kelly's alleged sex cult. Family members of one of the assumed victims of the scheme claim to have been threatened by Kelly's entourage, specifically including Mason. The former manager will turn himself in this Wednesday, January 16, in Henry County, GA. "Terroristic threats and acts" were reportedly cited on the warrant.

Mason is accused of threatening the family of Joycelyn Savage after her continued relationship R. Kelly was persistently questioned by her parents. According to a police report, obtained by The Blast, Mason told Timothy Savage, “I’m gonna do harm to you and your family, when I see you I’m gonna get you, I’m going to f***ing kill you.”

Gerald Griggs, attorney for Timothy Savage, is said to have confirmed that the Savage family is okay with the prospect of bail for the accused, as long as he agrees to avoid all contact with their daughter. Griggs also stated that a restraining order against the family will be part of the condition of his client's potential release on bond. The Savage family is also said to be looking into additional security for their own safety.
