Summer 2019 looks like it will bring about some new music and Netflix content by none other than Beyonce. US Weekly reports that Beyonce is working on some new solo tracks to follow up on her 2016 album, Lemonade. Bey has previously dropped off an album with her husband, Jay Z, but it's been a few years since we've gotten music from just her. A source tells the publication that she's recorded a “couple of new tracks [for] a deluxe album filled with old songs.”
As for the Netflix content, the source adds how the documentary "will be tied to her Coachella 2018 performance” including additional and never before seen footage.
More recently, Beyonce and Jay Z accepted the prestigious Vanguard Award, at the 2019 GLAAD Media Awards. Beyonce delivered a powerful speech about acceptance and how LGBTQI rights are human rights.
“We’re here to promote love for every human being,” Beyoncé said during her speech. “And change starts with supporting the people closest to you. So let’s tell them they are loved. Let’s remind them that they are beautiful, let’s speak out and protect them. And parents, let’s love our kids in their truest form. … I’d like to request that we continue to shift the stigmas in this community, especially the stigmas in black families towards queer black and brown men and women.”
