Joe Budden plans on staying retired.

Ever since retiring from the rap game, Joe Budden has transitioned seamlessly into his role as a hip-hop commentator. His opinions are polarizing enough to keep him relevant while his knowledge of the culture allows him several platforms to actually sound believable. His style has been critiqued as many believe he may be a little too harsh but, at the end of the day, his opinions are solely that: opinions. People are tuning in every week to listen to his podcast and he continues getting opportunities to speak his mind. When it comes to Eminem though, he has no intention on dusting off the mic to respond to a measly 2 bars.

During a phone interview with HipHopDX, Budden spoke on whether Eminem's Kamikaze diss against him increases the chances of a comeback to music. As he's implied in the past, his retirement is final and nothing will ever make him get back in the game. He said, "I wouldn’t do it. I wouldn’t do it. I wouldn’t want to dust off the microphone and get in the studio strictly to respond to two bars. I think that would contradict my retirement and all the work that I’ve done up to this point."

He continued, "I’m not just going to the studio to give somebody else the benefit of saying 'Yeah, Joe responded.' I’m retired, I mean it. And not for two bars is what I’m saying." Joe Budden is all over the place these days and he's not about to reply just for the hell of it. As happy as it would make us to hear one more Budden track, the man is adamant about not returning to the studio and we have to live with that. His presence is still incredible in the culture though as he constantly pops up to make commentary about hip-hop's hot topics through his numerous platforms.
