Irving said the team lacked "championship pedigree."

After the Boston Celtics lost to the Orlando Magic 105-103 on Saturday, Kyrie Irving put his teammates on blast saying that they lacked "championship pedigree" and just weren't performing at an acceptable level. Irving eventually apologized for coming off as harsh but his teammates don't seem to mind.

Celtics youngster Terry Rozier talked about Irving's comments on Tuesday.

“Kyrie said a lot after the last game and it was probably stuff that people didn’t want to hear,” Rozier explained to Yahoo. “But it’s showing. I feel like we have them talks throughout the season, but it didn’t turn out that good. You see guys get into it with each other, but that’s part of the game. You gotta be real with each other.”

Jason Tatum agreed with his teammate Rozier, saying Kyrie has enough experience to make the comments he did.

“It’s the truth,” Tatum said. “He knows what it takes to win a championship and most of us don’t. Sometimes you have to be brutally honest in this profession to get the best out of one another. It came from a good place.”

The Boston Celtics continued their woes on Monday night when they lost to the Brooklyn Nets by a score of 109-102. The Celtics are now 25-18 on the season and are fifth place in the Eastern Conference
