Kendrick Lamar says he's letting the inspiration come to him for his next album.

Kendrick Lamar's good kid, m.A.A.d city is still pushing units off the shelves weekly, nonetheless, it has been over a year since its release, so fans are defintely fiending for new music from the rapper. For the most part, Kendrick has not made any mention of a new album or new material in the many interviews he's done since he's sky-rocketed to fame, it seems like he's just taking things slowly. Now, in a new interview with MTV Kendrick has given us hope that he is going to start working on something new, we can only hope it'll be in the very near future.

Concerning a follow-up to GKMC, Kendrick said to MTV, "I definitely got ideas; ideas for sure. Going back in and locking in, I haven't done that yet, but I have ideas and I know what I want to do."

Similar to his past interviews, Kendrick showed no signs of being in a hurry to drop album #2, saying he's letting the inspiration come to him rather than the other way around. "[I'm] letting the inspiration come for sure. If I knock myself into the wall, I'll probably be out the game for a minute because it's stressful trying to be creative rather than letting creativity come to you and being inspired by something," K. Dot said, before going on to admit that he rarely listen to good kid, m.A.A.d city.

"Man if I wasn't onstage, I probably wouldn't be listening to it [after] the day I put it out," the Aftermath signee said. "I don't like to get stuck in doing something [so] that once I do move on and do my next joint, I don't want to get caught up in it sounding the same or being locked in to what I've done already. I always want to elevate myself and challenge myself."

Are you excited to see what Kendrick comes up with next?
