The Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling over the last few weeks due to the fact that both LeBron James and Rajon Rondo have been out due to injury. LeBron suffered a groin injury during the team's Christmas Day blowout of the Golden State Warriors and hasn't been back since, with the team going 3-7 in his absence. James will be re-evaluated tomorrow, however, the superstar has had some positive developments in his rehab.

According to ESPN, James took part in the team's shootaround today where he did some halfcourt passing and shooting drills. He hasn't done any full-court work, but his participation in this recent shootaround is a positive development for the squad, including head coach Luke Walton.

"I'm optimistic about life," Walton joked about LeBron's return. "So yes, that would be covered in that. I think we'll get good news back."

Rondo was also apart of the shootaround on Tuesday, with both players shooting three-pointers by the end of it. Walton commented on how he's happy to see both on the court together.

"I was encouraged," Walton said. "[Always] good to see those two on the court. [James] does a lot of [running] when we're not here. I don't know the [exact] amount of running he's doing. I just know he seems to be in good spirits. He's got another test tomorrow to get some more information on it."

The Lakers take on the Chicago Bulls tonight in Los Angeles.
