In just a few hours, we'll finally be hearing 21 Savage's new album. It's been talked about for weeks now and after his appearances on Metro Boomin's Not All Heroes Wear Capes, the hype only intensified. We were expecting it to arrive on December 7 but things did not go according to plan. We know now that I Am > I Was will be released tonight. In the days prior to the drop, Savage has been inviting people to explore the themes of the record inside of Motel 21, a space designed exclusively to promote the album. The motel will be open to press and VIPs tonight for a private listening session, which is sure to be filled with stars.
The event is taking place in Atlanta and 21 Savage is inviting people to experience the city he's talking about in his raps. "Come to my side of town to hear where the music come from," writes the rapper. Even with the title of the project, you can already tell that he's going to go deep into his history with the subject matter. Over the course of his career, much has happened in 21's life and there are already rumblings that he might be speaking on his relationship with Amber Rose in his lyrics.
Are you looking forward to hearing what 21 has been up to? I Am > I Was drops tonight.
