When the New York Giants selected Duke quarterback Daniel Jones with their sixth overall pick, the whole football world was in shock. Many felt as though Jones should have gone in the second round and with so many great players on the board, analysts felt as though the Giants had made a huge mistake. Since the pick, various memes and hot takes have been thrown around pertaining to Jones, although as he states, he really doesn't care.
"I haven't paid too much mind to that," Jones said on SiriusXM NFL Radio. "I think that's key to playing quarterback, to being consistent as a quarterback, is keeping your head in the same place. I think that just comes down to your confidence in yourself, and your confidence has got to come from inside of you."

Jones also took the occasion to praise Giants quarterback Eli Manning, saying he can't wait to learn from his for a few years before eventually becoming the team's starter.
"I think it's a tremendous opportunity for a young guy to go into a place where there's a future Hall of Famer (Manning) who's done it for a really long time at a really high level and definitely knows what it takes," Jones said. "So that to me is a big advantage in where I am right now. So, I'm looking forward to it, just being teammates with him, being able to learn from him."
Only time will tell whether or not Jones can live up to the expectations put on him by the Giants and their fanbase.
