Jeopardy's Alex Trebek looks to be in good spirits.

After being diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, legendary Jeopardy host Alex Trebek stopped by Good Morning America to open up about his treatment process. Speaking with breast cancer survivor Robin Roberts, Trebek expressed desire to raise awareness about cancer and some of his unexpected experiences battling the disease. "My oncologist tells me I’m doing well, even though I don’t always feel it,” Trebek admits. “What I’m not used to dealing with is the surges that come on suddenly of deep, deep sadness. It brings tears to my eyes. I’ve discovered in this whole episode, ladies and gentlemen, that I’m a bit of a wuss. But I’m fighting through it.”

With another dose of chemotherapy arriving in a few days, Trebek shares some of his own experiences with the treatment. “Chemo affects people in different ways, and people have to understand that. There’s nothing wrong with saying, ‘Hey, I’m really depressed today, and I have no idea why," he admits. I have to get strong. Chemo takes it out of you. I feel so weak all the time, and that’s not a good place to." Still, he remains hopefully that he'll be back on his feet in time for Jeopardy's 36th season. "Hopefully everything is going to turn out well, and I’ll be back on the air with original programming come this September.”

Respect to Alex Trebek for opening up in the hopes of raising awareness, and it's inspiring to see him drawing support from other cancer survivors across the world. Hopefully everything goes well for the iconic host, and he's back stumping aspiring Jeopardy contenders in no time.
