Cody Kessler to get the start for Jacksonville in Week 13.

From the AFC Championship Game to the bottom of the AFC South, the Jacksonville Jaguars' fall from grace over the last 10 months has officially reached rock bottom.

Following Sunday's 24-21 loss against the Buffalo Bills, which marked the team's seventh straight defeat, the Jags fired offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. Hours later coach Doug Marrone announced that Cody Kessler will replace Blake Bortles as the starting quarterback for Jacksonville's Week 13 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts.

Bortles, who signed a three-year, $54 million contract extension last offseason, threw for just 127 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions in Sunday's loss at Buffalo. In 11 games this season, the 26-year old QB has thrown 13 TDs and 10 picks.

According to ESPN, the Jaguars rank 21st in the NFL in total offense with 3,811 yards and are 28th overall in points per game with a 17.9 average. The team had started the season 3-1, including a victory against the New England Patriots, but have now dropped to 3-8 as they prepare to host the 6-5 Colts on Sunday.

Cody Kessler, 25, has only made eight starts in his career, all of them losses, which came as a member of the Cleveland Browns in 2016. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, QB coach Scott Milanovich will be the Jaguars’ offensive coordinator moving forward.
