Coca-Cola is a worldwide favorite. Whether you're ordering a Coca Light in France or their popular cherry variety in the States, chances are that you've consumed at least one beverage from the company in your lifetime. While it's not the healthiest choice, it's a hit with many. Coca-Cola doesn't often roll out new flavors, banking big on their original soda, cherry Coke and vanilla but now, they're looking to introduce a new product to the market.
For the first time in a decade, Coca-Cola is bringing us a new drink. According to Hypebeast, the brand will start rolling out their new Orange Vanilla flavor soon. While it doesn't sound too appetizing to me, fans of orange creamsicles and similar treats will likely be fans of the new taste. The idea for a new flavor came after the marketing team revisited the success of Coke Zero, seeking other areas where they can improve. They reportedly considered a few other options like raspberry, lemon and ginger. At the end of the day though, Orange Vanilla got the green light.
Coca-Cola's brand director issued a statement on the new product, saying: "We wanted to bring back positive memories of carefree summer days, that’s why we leaned into the orange-vanilla flavor combination – which is reminiscent of the creamy orange popsicles we grew up loving, but in a classically Coke way." The new flavor should be hitting the U.S. market before the summer.
