The event would be the first ever WrestleMania in Tampa Bay.

Thanks to a report from Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times, it appears as though WrestleMania 36 will be coming to Tampa Bay for the first time ever and will be hosted at the Raymond James Stadium which is the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While an official announcement hasn't been made yet, it is reported that WWE officials will make an official announcement on Thursday regarding 2020's WrestleMania event. The news doesn't come as too much of a surprise as the Tampa Bay Sports Commission had already made bids to host the big event in 2023, 2024, and 2025.

While the event will be taking place at a football stadium, Tampa Bay is also home to the Amelie arena, which according to Sports Illustrated, could mean more WWE events in the city. For instance, Monday Night Raw, SmackDown, and NXT TakeOver are all viable options to make their way to the city.

Florida is no stranger to hosting WrestleMania as the marquee wrestling event was held in Orlando in 2008 and 2017, while Miami got to host it back in 2012.

This year's WrestleMania will be held at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
