The Saints running back will be a free agent in the offseason.

The New Orleans Saints will be hosting the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship game this weekend. While this game will determine who will make the Super Bowl, there are some decisions the Saints will have to make next season. One of those decisions is based around their 29-year-old running back Mark Ingram, who will be a free agent next season.

For Ingram, he'd love to remain a member of the Saints.

“I’m not looking just to leave New Orleans,” Ingram said to The Times Picayune. “I’m not looking just to up and leave New Orleans. My squad, you know we got a good squad. I feel like we could do this type of thing for many more years. I’m not looking just to bail out of New Orleans.”

Ingram has spent his entire career with the black and gold and has been sharing the running back duties with Alvin Kamara this season. The two have been the reason why New Orleans' running game has been so successful this year.

The running back explained the significance of the city to him.

“I was drafted here. I met my wife here. My children were born here,” Ingram said. “Very rarely does anybody get to spend their career in one place. I love New Orleans. I love this team. I love this organization, so we’ll see. We’ll see what happens. I hope we win a Super Bowl and hopefully everything works out. It’s a business, and I hope everything works out. I love it here.”

The Saints will be the first seed when they take on the Rams on Sunday.
