Harper said he wants Trout in Philadelphia.

Tampering has been a sore subject in the NBA as of late, but now it appears that Major League Baseball might have their own case of it on their hands after some comments made by Bryce Harper. Harper just signed a 13-year $330 million contract with the Philadelphia Phillies and explained that he is already thinking about the team's future and how he wants to recruit players to the city.

"I can really put that faith in myself being able to say we're the Philadelphia Phillies and we want everyone who wants to come to Philly," Harper explained. "If you don't think I'm gonna call Mike Trout to come to Philly in 2020, you're crazy."

By calling out Trout by name, Harper opened a can of worms which led to the MLB having a conversation with the Phillies and Trout's current team the Los Angeles Angels. When asked about his comments, Harper doubled down saying his opinion hasn't changed.

"If I didn't mean it, I wouldn't have said it," he said according to ESPN.

Trout himself didn't seem to be bothered by all of the noise. Dubbed by many as the best player in baseball, Trout has said in the past that he loves playing for the Angels and that if he were to leave, it would be for the Phillies.

"Obviously I saw it," Trout said. "He's excited. He's excited about his team. I have no control over what he says."
