Tory Lanez surprised his fans today with a new project. The new mixtape, Chixtape 2, a sequel to his 2011 effort, features 14 largely self-produced new tracks.
As the title suggests, the tape is for and (generally about) the ladies, and early highlight, "Crew" is no exception.
The dusty sample backed up by reverb-laden drums is reminiscent of Jeremih's work on Late Nights, alternating between chopped and screwed rapping and chirpy singing.
Let's not forget that Tory is also a very capable rapper. If you're looking for more of his harder stuff, make sure to check out his recent "Danny Glover" freestyle.
Quotable lyrics:
It's for my Houston girl
My New York girl, my T.O. girl
My Creole girl
My hold the phone and press record
That TiVo girl
