In their latest outing, Major Lazer have effectively returned to the Caribbean-influenced roots that color their career as they recruit Skip Marley--grandson to the late Bob Marley--for their "Can't Take It Form Me" single.
The new track is designed to mark the beginning of the rollout of their fourth and final album. While details for the effort are light, "Can't Take It From Me" offers up a sonic preview to what's to come. The new album will follow on the heels of the 10th-anniversary compilation released by the trio in October and also arrives after Diplo teased the possible revival of the group's FXX animated series.
It certainly underscores what's sure to be a fiery farewell to one of music's most influential crews.
Quotable Lyrics
You can't take the light from the sun
You can't take the waves from the ocean
You can't take the wind from the trees
No, you can’t take the love out of me, yeah
