Boston Celtics All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving recently linked up with Complex's Joe La Puma for an all-new episode of "Sneaker Shopping" at famed sneaker boutique Concepts in Cambridge, Massachusetts. During their trip to Concepts, Irving spoke about his Nike signature line, his love for Nike SBs and his favorite sneakers growing up as a kid in New Jersey.
Additionally, Kyrie also debuted the upcoming Concepts x Nike Kyrie 5 "Ikhet" collab, as shown below.

The special edition Kyrie 5s are inspired by the point guard's Hamsa tattoo, featuring a beige colorway that references ancient pyramids as well as hieroglyphics detailing.
Per Nike:
With Irving, the Concepts idea draws from the all-seeing eye within the athlete’s Hamsa hand tattoo. Rather than replicate it (given that the tattoo is a major theme of the KYRIE 5 heel counter and box), Concepts Creative Director Deon Point decided to dig into the history of Egypt’s ancient pyramids. “I found out the mortar used remains a mystery to scientists — they still can't figure how it stuck together, but it's some of the strongest stuff ever made. I learned that the limestone glowing in the sun made the pyramids glow brighter than a diamond. And one thing that really got me: there was a 20-ton door on one of the pyramids that was so precise, you can’t squeeze a credit card through the seams — but it can be opened with one hand,” he says.
The kicks are slated to launch in limited quantities on December 26.
