Cross Patton, son of Outkast's Big Boi, officially announced he would be signing with the University of Oregon yesterday.
Patton, a running back listed at 5'7" and 185 pounds, made the big announcement in front of his teammates at Woodward Academy in College Park. As seen in the videos embedded below, he then put on a Ducks hat and jacket before hopping in a Rolls-Royce to officially sign the papers.
According to Andrew Nemac of the Oregonian, Patton is coming to Oregon as a preferred walk-on, which will give him a guaranteed spot on the team without the benefit of a scholarship. He chose Oregon over scholarship offers from Butler, Columbia, Seton Hall, Virginia State and others.
The Ducks finished 8-4 this past season and will take on the Michigan State Spartans in the RedBox Bowl at Levi's Stadium on Monday, December 31.
