Kodak Black is currently enjoying the success of his new album, Dying To Live. While on a promo run for the album, Black sat down over at The Whoolywood Shuffle to discuss a range of topics. During the discussion, Black reveals that both Boosie Badazz and Birdman had tried to sign him in the past. He declined both their offers, for separate reasons. "Before I went to go sit down with Atlantic, Lil Boosie called me," explains Black. I rock with Lil Boosie, I used to look up to him. But... he called me, he like I'm listening to your music." Although getting that call from Boosie would excite millions of young rappers, Kodak wasn't star struck. "He wanna come sit down with me, and give me like ten bands or something," Black continued. "I already had that money off street money." Boosie's minuscule contract was the opposite of what Birdman offered Black though.
Kodak claims that Birdman offered him millions to sign with Cash Money, but he wasn't feeling the deal. He used a harsh analogy to hammer his point home. "It's like somebody telling me, 'Oh, she got AIDS,'" he stated. "Even though I don't know, I ain't seen her papers, I'ma take that into consideration."
